1939 Packard Super 8 (Series 1703 Touring Sedan)
|

I am the third owner of this lovely 1939 Packard Super 8
Touring Sedan. The first owner took great care to make
this a special car by adding some of the options,
including front and back bumper guards, seal beams, and
fender lamps. The last two items were special in 1940
from the dealership for '39 owners who wanted to
update their cars to the 1940 style. The covered dual
side mounts with mirrors and the famous Packard
Pelican hood ornament are in gleaming condition. The
engine is a Packard Straight Super 8; the transmission is
3-speed with overdrive. This car runs and drives like a
dream, and easily cruises on the city street or the
highway. The interior is original, and shows some patina.
My hat goes off to the previous owner, who was a
coppersmith. The copper detailing on the dashboard is a
beautiful addition to this gorgeous car. The instrument
cluster and glove compartment feature hammered
copper, and the center section is smooth copper.
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 1939 PACKARD SUPER 8 TOURING SEDAN I LOVE TO DRIVE THIS CAR!!!
