I bought this car a few years ago, intending to use it as a
parts car for my Lincoln Premiere Convertible project. Now
that I need to get rid of some of my projects, I have decided
to let both of these cars go. This car is in good enough
condition to be restored or it could be used as a parts car.
This Lincoln Premiere Landau has tons of options. It is one
of the 22% of '57 Lincolns that came factory equipped with
air conditioning (see photos of the a/c venting in the back
window as well as the controls under the radio). It also has
power windows, power front seat, and electric door locks.
The Town and Country radio and dual control heater are also
convenience options on this car. The body is in mostly solid
shape, with some surface rust. The passenger side was
damaged in an accident (see the front quarter panel and
headlight areas), and the floor pans are eaten through in a
few spots. The interior is present but rough. The dash
looks pretty good, and all the knobs, etc, are there. Most of
the chrome is in good shape, and most (if not all) of the
badging is present.
The car has its original V-8 engine, and it was running and
driving when I bought it. I garaged it and then put it in
storage for about 3 years. The car will start, but it probably
needs some TLC since it hasn't been run regularly. I'll put
some better tires on the car so that it can be moved once it
sells.
